Holiday Travel Tips

1. The lightest holiday travel days will be Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.  If you can plan your travels for these days, you can avoid larger crowds and longer lines.  The heaviest winter holiday travel day is Friday, December 19th.  Avoid flying on this day if at all possible.

2. Ship those gifts ahead of time.   If you plan on traveling with gifts, you will want to wait until you land before wrapping them.  Wrapped gifts may be opened and inspected by TSA.

3. Don’t waste time driving in circles, hunting for parking at the airport.  Park’N Ticket Airport Parking has plenty of parking and provides FREE online reservations.  Book your space now.

4. Reserve a spot for your pet at Airport Park’N Bark, just 2 blocks away.  Park’N Bark will give you a coupon to park with us for just $5 a day, while your pet is being boarded.

5. Sign up for Trak-a-Flight, a free service from the Atlanta Airport that delivers updated flight information to email accounts, PDAs or mobile devices.  

6. Check TSA line wait times online at www.atlanta-airport.com, or sign up for Trak-a-Line to have real-time checkpoint wait times sent to email accounts or mobile devices.

7. The Atlanta Airport suggests you arrive 90 minutes before domestic flights and 2 hours before international flights.   

8. When you arrive to our entrance gate, check the sign for the FAST LANE.  It will direct you to the lane where our shuttles are picking up.  This will get you boarded and to the airport quickly.

9. Leave your keys with your shuttle driver and come home to a detailed car.  

10. Before you leave our shuttle, double check that you have your keys and your phone.  These are the 2 most commonly left behind items.

11. Don’t forget to use those frequent parker points you have collected all year!  Register your card and simply tell your cashier you would like to pay with your points.  You receive 1 day free of uncovered parking for every 66 points.

St. Jude Success!

Park’N Ticket Airport Parking is so proud to have been a part of the St.Jude Give Thanks Walk.  The Atlanta event raised more the $200,000 for the kids of St. Jude, with the help of over 2200 walkers.  This charity walk was an incredibly positive and fulfilling event and we were honored to be there. 

Our Park’N Ticket team had such a blast sponsoring the Kid Zone.  We painted dozens of smiling faces and handed out balloons to excited participants.  We met the walkers at the finish line and greeted each with a “thank you”.  They gave this event it’s “legs” and made it happen. 

Park’N Ticket was happy to donate $5,000 to St. Jude and raised an additional $1,200 with the help of our generous Park’N Ticket guests.  This disease has affected the lives of many in our family and team.  This walk was very personal for us and we truly appreciate all who took part in it.

More than 66,000 St. Jude supporters in 65 communities across the county participated in the walk, raising more than $8 million.  Way to go! The funds they raised will help St. Jude change the way the world treats and defeats childhood cancer in our community and around the globe.

It’s that time of the season, and Park’N Ticket AirportParking is in the spirit by sponsoring a popular holiday program that gives brand new toys to children in need. From now until December 19th, we are accepting donations of new and unwrapped toys for the Marine Toys for Tots program. All donated toys will be given to local children who are less fortunate than others.

We are making donating a toy easy.  Guests can drop new toys off in the official Toys for Tots box inside our office or simply leave it with your shuttle driver on your way to the airport.   Our team members are happy to be a part of the program. This is what the Christmas spirit is all about.  We are thrilled to play a small part in making sure these kids have a gift to open and don’t feel forgotten on Christmas morning.

Park’N Ticket is also entering each donor of a toy into a DRAWING for ONE WEEK of FREE uncovered parking. The winning donor does not have to be present for the drawing, and he or she will be contacted if their name is chosen.

We Give Thanks!

Our Park'N Ticket team is proud to be sponsoring the St. Jude GiveThanks.  Walk.  We will be at the event to cheer on participants and personally thank them for their support for this wonderful cause.  In addition to our sponsorship, we are participating as a team and including ALL our guests.

We know many of you want to support St. Jude as well.  We want to thank you for your donation.  We are giving REWARD POINTS to our guests who donate on our team page.  A $50 donation will receive 66 points (1 free day of uncovered parking) and a $100 donation will receive 132 points (2 free days of uncovered parking).  ANY size donation will receive points to their account.  No amount is too small.

Hole in One!

Park’N Ticket is so excited to sponsor the Robert D. FowlerFamily YMCA at the 4th annual “Y Golf Open”.    This incredible event is the largest charity golf tournament in the city. 20 area YMCA’s set up on 8 CANNONGATE golf courses, which host 800 golfers, all in one day.  This incredible event helps raise money to continue so many important programs at the YMCA.

We would love to see you on the course!  Join us for this day of golf followed up by dinner and awards.  Just imagine, you get to play golf all day AND make an impact on the life of children exposed to these empowering YMCA programs.

FREE of CHARGE. Go ahead, PLUG IN.

We are so excited to announce that 10 more electric vehicle charging spaces have been added to our offsite parking facility servicing the Atlanta Airport.  EV owners can enjoy this convenient service at no extra charge.  These open air spaces are located on the top deck and are dedicated for EV parking only.  

Our guests now have 2 options for their EV parking at Park’NTicket.  We have always allowed EV’s to plug in to the 110 outlets in the covered parking section.  There are 7 spaces, 3 in the lower deck and 4 in the mid deck with outlets available.  These are open to any vehicle, so guests can also call ahead to reserve these highly sought spaces or request their car be moved to them once they become available.

All of the charging spaces feature 110 v plug in ports for a trickle charge, perfect for our traveling guests.  This type of plug should fully charge within 20 hours, or much less in some cases.   

We want our clients to see that we are here to make their travel experience fast and easy in every way.  Adding more conveniences for you is just another way to do that.

On Air!

Recently, we had the pleasure of representing Park’N Ticket Airport Parking as guests on the “Belinda Skelton Atlanta Living” radio show.  My cousin, Kelley Moultrie, and I were joined by our general manager, Diane Dalton, to sit behind the mic for the first time in our lives.  Belinda put our nerves at ease with her welcoming manner.  She is such a pro!  We have been listening to Belinda on WSB radio for at least 20 years.   It was great to go behind the scenes and see the wizard behind the curtain.

We are so thankful to Belinda, her show, and WSB radio for having us on to highlight our local and family owned business, celebrating our 30 year anniversary.  We were thrilled to have the opportunity to discuss not only our company, but also the many benefits of parking offsite from the Atlanta airport and the changes we have seen in our 30 years in business.

Celebrating 30

30 years ago, three brothers planned a company from only a sketch drawn on a paper napkin. Together, they created the first travel agency with airport parking and shuttle service.   Park’N Ticket Airport Parking continues to be the only locally and family owned offsite airport parking in Atlanta.

The Oldknow brothers have an innate entrepreneurial spirit that led to this challenging endeavor.  They started with no experience in a highly competitive market and have grown a company with over 30 team members, 1,600 parking spaces, a covered parking deck, and a fleet of 9 shuttles.  The motto, The Fastest Way to the Runway, rings true in thousands of business traveler’s ears.  They flock to our facility, choosing its short distance from the airport and attention to service, for their travel needs.

The travel agency that was the “ticket” portion of Park’N Ticket, was sold in the 90’s in response to the enormous changes in that industry.  Younger brother, Larry Oldknow, sold his part of the business to explore other opportunities.  Twins, Bill and Bob, continue their involvement, though now as advisors.

Bill and Bob expanded on their core idea of “customer convenience” over the years by affiliating with other local businesses that would benefit their guests. Airport Park’N Bark, a pet kennel created by the brothers, is just one of these.   They partnered with several local car dealers, who provide car repair services for their guests while they are away.  A rewards program integrated software that allows guests to view their receipts online, make free reservations, and link a credit card for quick check outs, all while earning free parking. 

Guests’ needs have continued to change along with the travel industry over the last 30 years and Park’N Ticket has anticipated and met those needs.  Several new services, including  dry cleaning, car detailing, and electric car plug in stations, have been added in the last year.  We are always on the lookout for services that can simplify our guest’s travels.  If we can make their day a little easier, we are thrilled.  From day one, we welcomed our guests back with a coke or water for their ride home.  We know it is little things that can really make a difference in someone’s day. 

With the twins now retired, the next generation continues the family owned business with the support from our favorite advisors. Bill’s daughter, Kelley, has been hands on at Park’N Ticket from day one.  She and I, Bob’s daughter, now oversee the business under the watchful eye of our fathers.  We are so proud of our dads and what they built.  It is really exciting to celebrate this incredible milestone with them.
We differ from our competition because our family owned style extends in every way to our guests.  There is always someone here.  This is our corporate office.  We have real relationships with our guests.  We really listen to our team members and guests and can adapt to the feedback we receive very quickly.  Our Angel Parking

This is a tremendous milestone for Park’N Ticket.  We have a very personal appreciation for each of our team members and guests.  We hope we continue to make them happy and keep celebrating anniversaries.

She's a Keeper!

30 years ago, Park’N Ticket Airport Parking celebrated our grand opening as the only family owned offsite Airport Parking and Travel Agency.  Our manager today, Diane Dalton, was there on day one.   She began with us as a shuttle driver and quickly learned all aspects of the business.  She has been our cashier, dispatcher, travel agent and manager since 2001.

Diane has kept Park’N Ticket moving for the last 13 years as our general manager by overseeing the drivers and taking care of our guests as they head in and out of town.  She has seen it all before and always knows exactly what to do. She doesn’t blink at any difficult situation and handles each customer with care and professionalism.   It is such a joy to see customers come in to the office specifically to say "hello" or "thank you" to Diane. Many of our customers have known her for 20 or more years.  She is such a huge part of our company and is like a member of our family.

One Less Errand

We   are super excited to unveil another convenience for our customers.  Mobile Dry Cleaning has been added to our list of services, along with car detailing, pet boarding, Lexus services, Acura services and BMW services.  Ideal Dry Cleaners will be providing mobile dry cleaning for our customers, while Park’NTicket will be a pick up and drop off point. 

We are always looking for ways to make our customer’s busy life simpler.  This service will be one less errand for them to worry about during their hectic week.  We want our clients to see that we are here to make their travel experience fast and easy in every way.  Adding more conveniences for them is just another way to do that for them. 

Ideal Dry Cleaners will bill customers directly for this service.  They will be picking up and dropping off every Tuesday at 2 pm and Thursday at 10 am.  More times will be added, as demand grows.  Customers who are familiar with mobile dry cleaning will recognize the simple procedure for this service. 

 This added amenity is another way for us to remain, “the fastest way to the runway.”

For the second year in a row, Park’N Ticket Airport Parking rings in the New Year as a “Best of 2013” on Kudzu.com.  Winners were determined based on thousands of votes from consumers in the Kudzu community.
