We LOVE St. Jude!

The Atlanta St. Jude Walk Run event, held on Saturday September 24^th, raised over $270,000 for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  The day was filled with smiles from teams and individuals all with the same goal, to end childhood cancer.  Park’NTicket Airport Parking was thrilled to be a local sponsor hosting the Kids Zone for the 3^rd year.

Kids and adults found themselves getting silly and having fun at the Kids Zone.  We served up free cotton candy, raising energy levels for everyone making the 5k hike.  Everywhere you looked, you would see kids with super hero, animal, and princess faces!  We love to provide a local talented face painting artist who always does a phenomenal job.  Kids also received super hero sunglasses to show off their super hero powers!

The Park’N Ticket photo booth was the most popular spot in the Kids Zone, letting participants choose their props and get silly while capturing a fun memento from the day.  The theme was appropriately “super hero”, as each participant raised money for St. Jude, making them all our hero.  We even had a special visit from Superman and Batman, who graciously posed with the real heroes. 

We had so much fun giving away a free iPad Air 2.  The winning name was announced on stage by our Park’N Ticket general manager, Diane, with her granddaughter.  The event is very special for them as they remember their nephew, Ernie.

Our entire Park’N Ticket team is inspired by all the heroes involved in St. Jude.  We have all have one goal, to end childhood cancer.  Thank you for supporting St. Jude!

Calling All Heroes!

The Park’N Ticket Team had a blast being a sponsor and hosting the Kids Zone at the St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer Event and cheering on all the participants.  The rain did not stop supporters from coming out to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. 

EVERYONE was a superhero fighting for St. Jude at our photo booth.   With fun props for adults and take home capes for kids, the booth was filled with laughter.  We also had an incredible face painter adding to the festive atmosphere!  Michael M.  was the big winner in our free raffle, winning an iPad mini!  So much going on and all for such a fantastic cause.  We are proud to be a part of it.

All participants also received free airport parking at Park’N Ticket, just as a way for us to say THANK YOU for supporting St. Jude!  If you didn’t get your gift card on event day, be sure to check your virtual goodie bag from St. Jude.

Free Parking with St. Jude Donation!

Park’N Ticket is gearing up to sponsor the St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer held at Lenox Mall on September 26, 2015.  This family-friendly walk/run helps raise funds to support the lifesaving mission of the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, where no family ever receives a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food.

Our team is sponsoring the Kid Zone for the 2^nd year.  There is a festive feel over the entire event and the Kids Zone adds excitement to the day with free face painting, cotton candy, crafts, and balloons for enthusiastic participants.   It’s great when families participate together and the Kids Zone adds another element of fun for the kids.  We really love being in the middle of all that positive energy.

Park’N Ticket is thanking our guests who donate through our team page at http://walkrun.stjude.org/pnt again this year, with reward points that can be redeemed for free parking. Each $50 donation will receive points for one free day of uncovered parking.  We hope our guests will help us raise $1,500 or more to help support St. Jude.  We have the best customers, always asking how they can participate in charity events that we sponsor.  We want to thank them for their generosity and support.  Last year our guests donated $1,200 through our team page. This disease has affected the lives of many in our family and team, so this walk was very personal for us and we truly appreciate all who take part in it.

Angel Parking Now Includes Travelers to St Jude Children's Research Hospital

Patients and their families traveling to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital can now enjoy the Angel Parking Program, which provides free airport parking and shuttle service to the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.

The Angel Parking Program was created in October of 2012 when Park’N Ticket Airport Parking, recognizing the extreme financial hardship that medical treatment can put on a family, helped our first family with free parking.  The family’s expression of gratitude led this us to take it a step further and create this free program serving all patients of M.D. Anderson in Houston.   Almost 3 years later, we are thrilled to help guests take over 80 trips for their treatment and with St. Jude joining the program, we hope to help many more.

The addition of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to the Angel Parking Program was a natural one, since Park’N Ticket is in its 2^nd year sponsoring the St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer.  Raising funds for St Jude and offering this program to their patients is truly meaningful to our family and team members.  Many of us have gone through what these families are experiencing and we hope that we can bring some small bright spot in what can be a very dark time, just by letting our guests know there are people who care about you and want to help.

St. Jude Success!

Park’N Ticket Airport Parking is so proud to have been a part of the St.Jude Give Thanks Walk.  The Atlanta event raised more the $200,000 for the kids of St. Jude, with the help of over 2200 walkers.  This charity walk was an incredibly positive and fulfilling event and we were honored to be there. 

Our Park’N Ticket team had such a blast sponsoring the Kid Zone.  We painted dozens of smiling faces and handed out balloons to excited participants.  We met the walkers at the finish line and greeted each with a “thank you”.  They gave this event it’s “legs” and made it happen. 

Park’N Ticket was happy to donate $5,000 to St. Jude and raised an additional $1,200 with the help of our generous Park’N Ticket guests.  This disease has affected the lives of many in our family and team.  This walk was very personal for us and we truly appreciate all who took part in it.

More than 66,000 St. Jude supporters in 65 communities across the county participated in the walk, raising more than $8 million.  Way to go! The funds they raised will help St. Jude change the way the world treats and defeats childhood cancer in our community and around the globe.

Information from St. Jude:

·         Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing and food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

·         Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since it opened in 1962.

·         St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent in the next decade. We won’t stop until no child dies from cancer.
